Message from the Chairman of Dakar Congress Organising Committee

We are now four months from the 10th International Congress of the Africa Society for Blood Transfusion that will take place in Dakar, Senegal, from 20 to 23 April 2020. All the arrangements are being made for the conference, to be the one of the records in terms of participation and success. Our congress has been included on the official calendar of international meetings organised by Senegal with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and as a result, all participants will be considered hosts of Senegal and will be treated with the highest priority from arrival at the airport to their departure from the country. read more….

Implementation of Blood and Blood Product Regulation Training Workshop

The Africa Society for Blood Transfusion (AfSBT) and the Paul-Ehrlich-Institute (PEI) GHPP-BloodTrain, jointly hosted a training workshop on ‘Implementation of Blood and Blood Product Regulation’ in Johannesburg, South-Africa from the 20th to the 22nd of August 2019. Key partners, including the New Partnership for Africa’s Development (NEPAD), through the African Medicines Regulatory Harmonisation (AMRH), and the World Health Organisation (WHO) offices including WHO Headquarters, WHO AFRO (Regional Office for Africa) and WHO EMRO (Regional Office for the Eastern Mediterranean) heavily supported and were represented at the workshop.read more….
